User help is intended to assist the operator when installing the system, setting up its Data Tables and using Preactor's features and functionality on a day to day basis.

Out-of-the-box configurations of Preactor offer a comprehensive range of functions that will meet most requirements. Other configurations offer additional features for long term capacity and inventory planning and material control facilities. And there are many add-ons that our Partners offer to further extend Preactor's capabilities.

From the outset, the system was designed to be highly configurable, so, if none of the standard configurations entirely satisfy your scheduling needs or you find that the standard data table structure, etc., does not completely fit your requirements, all you need to do is to attend one of the available training courses. Here you will be taught how to re-configure the system and tailor it so that it exactly meets your needs.

On all scheduling products, other than Preactor 100 FCS, the database and menu system can be changed to customize the system to the needs of your business and your process.

Remember that Preactor is there to improve your competitive edge and guide you on the path to scheduling excellence.

Customization Help - (Online Help)

The Preactor suite of software has been designed so that the executable modules can be updated with new features and facilities without requiring a change to the configuration files. In essence, the PREACTOR.PRTDF and PREACTOR.PRMDF files are used to create a customized version of Preactor.

Future versions of the Preactor modules will still work with a customized system. In this way, any investment in customizing a Preactor system is protected against future changes to the Preactor modules.

The major Preactor modules are themselves very flexible and can be configured to requirements using the data found in the PREACTOR.PRTDF and PREACTOR.PRMDF files. Thus there is only one Preactor editor (PREdit) that can be configured to edit the Preactor database and the order files.
